Assoc. Professor/Professor Dept. of Psychology and Dept. of Latin-US and Linguistics (2 positions) The Department of Psychology and the Department of Chicano Studies, Languages, and Linguistics at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) announce an interdisciplinary search for two faculty positions at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor for the Regents' Research Excellence Program. For the first position, we seek someone with an active program of research in neurocognitive or neurolinguistic approaches to bilingualism that incorporate neuroimaging or neuropsychological populations. Research Assistant Professor in Pharmaceutical Sciences (2 positions) The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) School of Pharmacy is seeking to recruit two non-tenure track Research Assistant Professors on 3-year contracts in all areas of clinical pharmacy research as part of the UTEP Regents' Research Excellence Program (RREP). The RREP program aims to enhance the research competitiveness of the UT System and UT institutions. Preference will be given to candidates who will apply their expertise in health disparities in our predominately Hispanic population and utilize clinical settings or clinical datasets. Additionally, preferred candidates will have experience addressing important questions related to population health including access to healthcare, quality of healthcare, medication and treatment adherence, vaccine uptake, and disease prevention studies. Assistant/Associate Professor in Pharmaceutics and/or Pharmacology The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) invites applications for an Assistant or Associate Professor (tenure-track/tenured) in all areas of Pharmaceutics and/or Pharmacology. Professor in College of Health Sciences The University of Texas at El Paso seeks a highly qualified full Professor to join its College of Health Sciences (CHS) and play a pivotal role in developing a Center for Diabetes and Metabolic Diseases. The faculty member will have the opportunity to be appointed in the Department(s) of Kinesiology, Public Health Sciences, or Social Work depending on the candidate's background and preference. Faculty hired into the rank of tenured full professor will be given the additional honorific title of Regent's Distinguished Research Professor; other RREP faculty can earn this title upon promotion to full professor with tenure. In this role, the faculty member will collaborate with current diabetes and metabolic disease researchers and lead initiatives addressing health inequities. They will play a critical role in shaping the strategic vision of the center, driving research, translation, implementation, and training efforts. The faculty member will be expected to collaborate closely with existing researchers within CHS who conduct multicultural and binational research.
