Position Summary: To provide quality instruction for student learning and to maintain a positive learning environment in the classroom. The major emphasis will be placed on teaching and evaluating students in the classroom and laboratories.

Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Planning and teaching classes as assigned and as outlined in the course descriptions and course syllabi. 2. Supervising the study and learning activities of students assigned. 3. Submitting requests through the department head, program coordinator, or lead teacher for equipment, supplies, textbooks, and other instructional aids. 4. Evaluating the academic progress of students. 5. Demonstrating knowledge of services, regulations, and procedures as defined in the Adjunct Faculty Handbook. 6. Submitting course grades and performing other administrative duties as required. 7. Scheduling two office hours. For extenuating circumstances in which office hours cannot be scheduled, the adjunct faculty member must submit a written plan to the Dean describing how students can access the instructor. Office hours are not paid during the summer session.
Required Qualifications: Master’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited college/university with at least 18 graduate hours in hospitality, travel, tourism, event planning, hotel or restaurant management, or related field.

Job Duties

<li>Provide high-quality, effective instruction in accordance within program guidelines through lectures, demonstrations, and/or audio-visual aids.</li>

Minimum Qualifications
• Associate Degree from a regionally-accredited institution. • Currently licensed as a Tennessee EMT-Paramedic without history of revocation, denial, or suspension of license. • Licensed emergency care experience must include a minimum of two (2) years practice, preferably within the last five (5) years. • Administrative experience must include a minimum of two (2) years in Emergency Medical Services (EMS) educational administration or greater than three hundred (300) hours of EMS instruction. • Current TEMSESA I/C (instructor/coordinator) course (renewed within within last two years). • Current endorsement in a Board approved trauma, cardiac, and pediatric course at the provider level.
Preferred Qualifications
• Classroom experience and administrative experience in delivery of workforce education and competency-based training.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

GENERAL DUTIES: The Nutrition &amp; Food Service Training Instructor is responsible for the following areas including, but not limited to, teaching and supervision of students online; maintaining confidential, accurate and complete records on paper and electronically; complete reporting as required in a timely manner; participating in the continued development of the program, recruitment of new students and placement of graduates; maintaining an active advisory committee; and other duties as assigned. The Tennessee College of Applied Technology - Dickson is accepting applications for the part-time position of Adjunct Instructor for the Floor Covering Installation class at the Clarksville Campus.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

<li>High school diploma or equivalent; Technical Diploma in instructional area or equivalent higher education training with credentials in related field preferred. A comparable combination of education and directly related work experience may be considered.</li>

GENERAL DUTIES: The Adjunct Instructor in the Floor Covering Installation class is responsible for providing in-person individualized theory and hands-on instruction to students to prepare them for employment in the Floor Covering Installation field. Areas of instruction include tools and equipment used in the flooring industry, safety, and installation of resilient, hardwood, tile and carpet. The Adjunct Instructor must prepare materials needed for course instruction; facilitate an engaging and focused learning environment; monitor, grade and evaluate individual student progress; maintain student records in the college’s student records management software; maintain appropriate documentation, and submit timely reports. This part-time position is not eligible for benefits and reports to the Clarksville Campus Director. Scheduled work hours are Tuesday and Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Scheduled class hours are Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. This is not a remote work position.
SALARY: $30.00 per hour. Commensurate with Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology salary guidelines.
